Inside-out tape loops are ideal for sanding down small parts with good control. I recommend a gauze mask, wet sandpaper or both for this sort of thing:

I'm leaving the middle row of seats out for cargo (saves work, too):

Test fitting, test fitting...(I put 1 leg on each seat so they'd stand on their own while they dried. Nobody will see these, and I never futz around with rudder pedals at 1/72 either for the same reason):
