There are scores of lakes, ridge tops and river bottoms from which to start your own camping/back-packing trip within the range of a short bush plane flight from Talkeetna. We can take you to places most visitors to Alaska will never know exist. Give us a call, let us know what your interests are, and we can give you some ideas, may be send you a map and make some plans. We charter the plane for $ 220 per hour and we can take about 400-500 lbs. per load. A drop-off and pick up will normally cost about $200-500 per person, depending on how far you go and how much gear you have. We also have guided camping and trekking activities. Your guide will help to interpret the sites you see, help with chores, show you the easier ways and guard for your safety. The cost for guided treks varies but is generally $200-300 per day, depending on a size of your group and where you go.  As example of the trek might consist of flying into some high mountain lake with your tent, pack, camp stove, food and other gear. You can use that spot as a base camp for exploring the surrounding mountains.
